This is probably one of the most gruesome book's Patricia Cornwell has written, although I didn't care for Kay Scarpetta, the main character, as much in this novel. I thought she was more wishy washy than I've seen her in other stories.
Other than that, I enjoyed this book, as I do with all of Patricia's novels. She's a great author and one of the best crime writers in the genre today.
