I know this is a little late, but I still wanted to say "Happy 4th of July" to all of my readers!
This year, we took a little holiday for the holiday.
July 3 is our wedding anniversary, so we decided we were due for a weekend away. We spent July 2 and 3 on the Oregon coast and July 4 and 5 in Eugene, Oregon, at my daughter's home. Her little girl's birthday is July 5.
We had lots of fun, but it's nice to be back home. Next year, we will probably spend the holiday here at home and save the weekend trip for a time when the roads aren't quite so crowded.
