The Eagle Has Landed!

Check out this beautiful creature we spotted while out birdwatching this afternoon! Isn't it gorgeous? There were at least a dozen of them. Most didn't have the white head yet, so they must have been fairly young.

How cool is that. I have never seen an eagle live. I see hawks and cranes here in East Texas. And lots of buzzards. I'm talking looottttssss of buzzards.

where was that? Othello?

Yes, just south of Othello about 5 miles! They were so cool. I'd never seen so many in one spot before.

Beautiful! How wonderful to spot this on your walk ... I get excited when I see a male cardinal at the feeder :)

I grew up in the Midwest and miss the cardinals. We don't have them out here in the Pacific Northwest. They say the cardinals can't get over the Rockies. My mother has a huge collection of cardinal figurines.
