Just my opinion:
What an amazing book! I always enjoy a good mystery-thriller and this one is right up there with the best. It’s fast-paced and gripping.
This is the story of someone who kidnaps children from the scenes of emergencies – car wrecks, fires, etc. Parents are usually distracted by what’s going on, especially those who have taken first aid and CPR classes. They are quick to help and it only takes a few moments of turning their backs on their children for the young ones to disappear, taken from the scene by the kidnapper.
It’s a fascinating study into the mind of a mad man as you hear the words he tells himself each time he takes a child … how he promised himself the previous one was the last, how beautiful the child is and how easy it will be to love the child.
It’s also a story of learning to lean on and trust others in times of need, of believing in friendship and love and letting others help you when you are the most vulnerable.
This really is a great story and I know you’ll enjoy it. In fact, those who comment on this review will be eligible to receive a e-book of Cruelty to Innocents. I will draw the winning name tomorrow evening and send the link to pick up your free copy. Good luck!
